Missoula Police Find Stolen Vehicle, Meth Off North Reserve
Near midnight on Election Day a Missoula policeman found a suspicious car parked off of North Reserve. Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“An office out on a routine patrol was doing his patrol around a shopping center in the 3200 block of North Reserve Street,” said Welsh. “As he rounded the north end of the complex he observed a vehicle sitting in the parking lot with windows fogged and frosted as if somebody may have been inside. He ran the plate and learned that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Spokane County out of Washington.”
When police were able to access the car, they found meth and two individuals.
“After backup arrived, they made contact with male and female occupants who were sleeping in the vehicle,” Welsh said. “At the end of the investigation, 33-year-old Ricky Arcand was taken into custody for felony theft as well as criminal possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.”
A 32-year-old woman was also found in the car, but after an initial investigation, she was released at the scene.
