Missoula Police Arrest Woman For Possession Of Meth
Just before 10:00 Tuesday night, an employee from a motel in the 1000 block of East Broadway called Missoula Police and requested help removing occupants from a specific room. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“Apparently the complaint was that there were more people in the room at one given time than were allowed by the motel, or that for whatever reason, there were more people than they wanted there,” Welsh said. “They requested that all persons in the room be removed, including the ones who had registered.”
Welsh says only one person was in the room when officers arrived, but they did find something that was worth investigating.
“The officers arrived and made contact with the manager who directed them to the room,” Welsh said. “The officers made contact with the female in the room and while they were there, they made observations of what appeared to be drug paraphernalia items in the room. They subsequently learned that there were also drugs in the room. The female was arrested. She is identified as 23-year-old Jody Standingrock.”
According to Welsh, it was reported that Standingrock was in possession of methamphetamine. She was charged with felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs.
