Missoula Police Arrest Woman for Having a Syringe Loaded With Meth
Just after midnight on Wednesday, Missoula police officers made contact with an adult female near the California Street foot bridge. The woman asked the officers what was going on, after they had been speaking with other individuals. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“She was identified as 31-year-old Taija Collier,” Welsh said. “Collier was confirmed to have outstanding warrants for her arrest and she was taken into custody. Subsequent to that, she was found to be in possession of a substance that was later determined to be methamphetamine. Collier was placed under arrest. She is currently being held for her outstanding warrants, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.”
According to court documents, a routine inventory search at the jail located a loaded hypodermic syringe in Collier’s purse. An officer also observed what appeared to be an injection site on Collier’s left elbow.
