At around 11:45 Thursday night, a Missoula citizen called 911 to report that she had just witnessed two younger males break into a vehicle in her neighborhood. According to Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh, the suspects apparently smashed out a couple of windows out of one vehicle before quickly leaving the area.

“Officers responded to the area and located the males as they were tampering with other vehicles in the neighborhood,” said Welsh. “Both males were taken into custody and currently both are being held in connection with charges of criminal mischief, criminal trespassing and theft. The first one is 25-year-old Jaray Syring and the other male is 23-year-old Alex Zechlinski.”

Welsh says the two suspects are facing felony criminal mischief charges because it was estimated that the replacement of the windows broken out of the vehicle would exceed $1,500.
