At around 6:30 Sunday night, Missoula police responded to a residence in 1000 block of South 5th Street West. It was reported that multiple shots were fired at that residence. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“When officers arrived, they learned that no individuals were actually injured,” Welsh said. “They were able to obtain a suspect description. Witnesses described a vehicle driving by and shots being fired toward the residence. About 15 minutes after the initial call, officers located and detained several persons of interest at another location in Missoula.”

According to Welsh, detectives questioned several persons and processed evidence at multiple locations.

“At this point, we believe we have located and identified all persons involved in the incident,” Welsh said. “The investigation is currently ongoing, but two arrests were made. 20-year-old Avyn Eder and 19-year-old Marvin Seastrunk were both arrested. They are being held on offenses related to the incident.”

According to the Missoula County Jail, Eder is currently being held for attempted homicide and Seastrunk is being held for deliberate homicide. Seastrunk is also being held for a probation violation and criminal possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute.
