At around 9:45 Friday night, Missoula Police officers responded to the Poverello Center to remove a male who was refusing to leave. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.

“The officers made contact with employees at this location and identified 35-year-old Jace Bullcoming as the suspect,” Welsh said. “Mr. Bullcoming was given the opportunity to leave, but he refused and was taken into custody. The officers learned that Mr. Bullcoming was intoxicated at the time and that he was on felony probation. Further investigation revealed that Mr. Bullcoming had engaged in sexual activity with another person without their consent.”

According to court documents, a Poverello staff member informed officers that Bullcoming may have licked the face of another male in the facility and asked that officers speak with the male. The male told officers that Bullcoming performed several sexual acts on him in a bathroom at the facility. The male did not state that he provided consent at any point while Bullcoming was performing these acts.

Bullcoming denied knowing the male and having asked him into the bathroom. Bullcoming also denied asking the male to perform any sexual acts. Despite his denial of knowing the male, Bullcoming claimed that at one point the male had asked him to pull down his pants, a request which Bullcoming claimed to have denied.

Bullcoming was transported to the Missoula County Detention Center and he is currently being charged with sexual intercourse without consent.
