Missoula Police Arrest Man for Breaking Building Windows Downtown
At 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, multiple people called 911 and reported that a man was breaking building windows in the Downtown area. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
“911 received calls from a couple different persons who were observing this as it occurred and they assisted the officers in locating the suspect male,” Welsh said. “He struggled a little bit against the officers and he attempted to assault them, but he was eventually taken into custody and secured.”
According to Welsh, it was determined that the man broke windows at multiple locations.
“The follow up investigation revealed that this suspect, 42-year-old Jerad Patterson, broke windows at an office building in the 200 block of West Main, at the Missoula County Courthouse, and also at the Missoula City Hall.”
Patterson faces one count of felony criminal mischief because he allegedly broke several windows totaling a significant amount of money. He is also being charged with obstructing a peace officer.
