Missoula Police Arrest Man for Armed Robbery
At around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, Missoula Police Officers responded to the report of an armed robbery with a knife that occurred at a casino located in the 2200 block of Brooks Street. Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh explains.
"An employee described a male suspect entering the business while brandishing a knife and demanding money," Welsh said. "The employee deployed “pepper spray”, and the suspect fled out of the casino leaving the area on foot. No money or merchandise was taken in the attempt. There were no reported injuries."
At around 11:13 p.m., an officer located a male who matched the description of the suspect at the warming shelter in the 1900 block of North Avenue. The male was positively identified as the robbery suspect and he was taken into custody. Officers also recovered a fixed-blade knife from the suspect. He was identified as 21-year-old Noah Gochis.
On July 4th, 2020, Gochis was charged with assault with a weapon and obstructing a peace officer after he threatened police with a gun.
