Missoula Police Arrest Big Sky High School Student
On May 26, 2022, a Big Sky High School student was arrested on charges of Conspiracy to Commit Assault With A Weapon and Unlawful Possession of Weapon On School Property. Missoula Police Department Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold explains.
“The School Resource Officer was alerted to a verbal argument between two male students,” Arnold said. “A third-party report to the officer indicated an 18-year-old student intended to get revenge against the other involved male. Based on information provided by the third party, it was believed the student was in possession of a firearm.”
According to Arnold, the officer was able to locate the victim male and place them in a safe location.
“The SRO located the student and detained him,” Arnold said. “No firearm was located on the student, but the student did have knives on his person. There is no additional threat to the public. No additional details are available. This case is still under investigation with the Missoula Police Department.”
When the student is officially charged with a crime, KGVO news will reveal his identity and provide more information.
