Missoula Open Lab Night Offers Opportunity to Explore Health Professions For Students – College Construction Update
The Missoula College partnered with the city’s Chamber of Commerce yesterday for an ‘Open Lab Night’ for folks interested in any health professions.
"We had our faculty members presenting a SIM man, which is a computerized patient simulator, for students to check pulses, know if they're awake or not awake, blood pressure screenings," Dean Shannon O'Brien said. "Our surg-tech folks were represented, too."
O’Brien also talked about construction progress happening on East Broadway.
"If you've had a look at it lately, we are really taking shape there," O'Brien said. "The windows are in. They're riverside and floor to ceiling. Some of the drywall has gone up below the floors. It has really starting to take shape. It will really be a beautiful facility for our students."
Groundbreaking for the new campus started in 2014.
