Missoula Man Allegedly Beat Up Outside Mo Club for Being Gay
The Facebook page "Wipe Out Homophobia" contains a photograph of a man in Missoula who claims he was beaten outside a local bar because he was gay.
According to the page, the 22 year-old man named Joseph was celebrating his birthday at the Missoula Club (more commonly known as the Mo Club) early Sunday morning, when according to reports, he asked about the location of a gay bar, at which point someone invited him outside for a cigarette.
When they were outside the bar, the man allegedly struck Joseph and several others joined in, bruising the man's face. Joseph took a photo of his injuries and posted them on the Wipe Out Homophobia Facebook page. Sergeant Scott Pastian said Missoula police are investigating the incident.
