Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On May 31, 2025, a Missoula Police Department officer was dispatched to a request for the removal and trespass of 61-year-old Mike Quinn from the Good Food Store. A GFS employee said Quinn was sitting in the deli area and had a history of consuming food and not paying for it. He has also gotten escalated with staff in the past. Quinn was leaving the store, and the employee asked officers to trespass him.
An officer arrived in the area and observed Quinn standing next to the Town and Country Lounge. The officer approached Quinn and informed him of the permanent trespass. The officer explained the permanent trespass and asked if Quinn had any questions. Quinn stated he did not and began to walk away.
While walking, the officer observed a bottle of methadone in Quinn’s satchel. The officer asked Quinn if the methadone was his, and Quinn stated it was not and advised that he does not use methadone. Quinn handed the officer the bottle, and the officer noticed it was prescribed to someone else. Quinn said it belonged to his dog groomer, who left it in his car the other day.

The officer noted that methadone is a Schedule II drug. Quinn informed the officer that he was planning on returning the methadone to his dog groomer and told the officer that it was still sealed. The officer observed that the seal was hidden below the bottle’s cap, which upon opening, the officer observed was still sealed.
The officer called Missoula Probation and Parole and advised them of the situation. The on-call Probation Officer requested a search of Quinn and his property. The officer found nothing further of obvious criminal nature.
