Missoula Drunk Driver Crashes Into a Utility Pole While Texting
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 5, 2024, at 4:14 PM, a Missoula Police Department officer was dispatched to the intersection of Flynn Lane and Mary Jane for a crashed vehicle. The officer responded to the location and observed that 35-year-old Jessica Bosch’s vehicle crashed into a utility pole. When the officer arrived, Bosch was being treated by fire and medical personnel.
The officer spoke to medical personnel on scene. They advised that Bosch was suffering from wrist pain and had some bruising and cuts to her legs. Then the officer spoke with Bosch and noted that her speech was slow, methodical, and slurred. Bosch also exhibited water eyes and the officer could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person.
According to court documents, Bosch stated that she answered a text message on her phone and crashed her vehicle. The officer asked Bosch if she consumed any alcoholic beverages prior to the crash and she did not answer the question. Instead, she told the officer that he was going to get her in trouble. She indicated that she was concerned about going to prison.
Bosch was transported to Community Medical Center due to complaints of pain to her stomach and wrist. The officer followed the ambulance to the hospital and conducted the rest of his investigation in an emergency room. Ultimately, Bosch admitted to drinking alcoholic beverages earlier in the day.
