Missoula Crime Report: Man Allegedly Exposed Himself to Children at Walmart
The Missoula County Attorney’s Office filed 13 new criminal complaints this week. Three of those cases were violent crimes, but none of them involved interpersonal violence. According to County Attorney Kirsten Pabst, one of those cases was an aggravated burglary.
“In that case, the defendant allegedly knocked on the victim’s hotel door, pushed his way in, and assaulted him,” Pabst said. “He also allegedly stole some items, including a .38 caliber handgun. We charged an assault with a weapon case. In that case, the defendant allegedly attacked his neighbor with a knife. There was also an indecent exposure case that involved two counts. In that case, the defendant allegedly exposed himself to two young children at Walmart.”
Pabst said her office charged three endangerment crimes as well. Two of those were felony DUIs and one was a child endangerment case.
“In that case, the defendant was allegedly intoxicated and ran into a parked truck while her 4-year-old daughter was in the vehicle,” Pabst said. “When law enforcement arrived, the child was unrestrained in the vehicle, indicating maybe it had been unproperly installed or the belt had not been latched completely.”
In addition, Pabst said there were four new drug cases.
“Two of those were methamphetamine and one was meth plus heroin,” Pabst said. “The allegation there was intent to sell. We also charged one possession of cocaine. Finally, in the administrative crimes category, we charged one obstructing a peace officer, another with filing a false report, and the third with identity theft.”
In that case, the defendant allegedly assumed someone else’s identity for the purpose of obtaining prescription medication. You can listen to Pabst's full report below.
