Update 3 p.m.: According to reports from the scene, the structure fire as been extinguished. It appears that the exterior of the one-story home that was on fire is mostly intact. Firefighter crews are still on the scene with personnel working inside the home.

A structure fire near Clinton drew the response of firefighters from the Missoula Rural Fire Department and the Clinton Rural Fire District this afternoon, Thursday, Nov. 7.

Brent Christopherson, Assistant Fire Chief with the Missoula Rural Fire District, said his department sent two engines and six personnel to help fight an "existing structure fire at 18965 East Mullan Road."

Clinton Rural Fire District took command on the scene, and due to the fact the station is all volunteer, no one was available to provide more information at the time of the blaze.
