Man Refuses to Stop Masturbating Inside a Missoula Hospital
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On January 12, 2024, a Missoula Police Department Officer was dispatched to St. Patrick Hospital for a report of a male that needed to be removed. The officer was advised that the male was masturbating in the hallway of the emergency department. The officer spoke with the security guard who had called 911. The security guard identified the male as 30-year-old Anthony Henry.
The officer was informed that Henry had no medical or mental health reason to be at the hospital and since he did not have any need for services, he was moved into the hallway so the hospital staff could assist other patients while trying to find a safe place for Henry to go.
The security guard said Henry would not behave in a respectful manner, was continually wandering into other patients’ rooms, and had been trying to get into a bed in one of the rooms. According to the security guard, when staff would try to stop Henry from wandering around the emergency department and disturbing patients, Henry would respond by masturbating. The security guard further stated this was not the first time Henry has done this and that he, “typically does it every time he comes in.”
The security guard said Henry was placed in a chair in the hallway that is visible to about every employee in the emergency department and several patients. According to court documents, Henry would pull his pants down far enough so that he could access his penis with his hand. The security guard mentioned that Henry doesn’t always pull his penis all the way out of his clothing, but it becomes visible at times. The security guard further reported that the security team had to hold Henry’s arms to stop him from masturbating in the hallway.
The officer placed Henry under arrest and transported him to the Missoula County Detention Facility. Henry is currently being charged with four counts of indecent exposure, two of which are considered felonies. On January 16, 2024, Henry made his initial appearance in Missoula Justice Court and his bond was set at $5,000.
Court documents indicate Henry was previously arrested for indecent exposure on July 22, 2022, and was previously arrested for sexual assault on October 24, 2022. Additionally, the officer learned Henry had been trespassed from both Missoula shelters permanently for allegations of sexual assault.
