Man Pleads Guilty In Girlfriend’s Fatal Overdose
A 25-year-old man whose girlfriend died of drug overdose in his Missoula apartment has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of criminal endangerment.
Kenneth Cadieux entered his plea in District Court on Tuesday and is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 23.
He said 23-year-old Riley Rochelle Boyer was taking methadone and that both of them snorted a prescription painkiller that was ground up. On the morning of March 2, he left for his job as a roofer, and his roommate called him a few hours later to report that Boyer was dead.
Court records say Boyer's 4-month-old son was found crying next to the body.
Cadieux originally was charged with negligent homicide.
