Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On October 29th, 2022, a male described as being tall, having long “fuzzy” hair, face tattoos, and wearing pink women’s underwear, entered the Missoula Police Department and exposed his genitals to the female employee who was working the front desk.

The male was later identified as 45-year-old Paul Linch. Police Public Information Officer Lydia Arnold has more.

“Linch left and was located near the police station by an officer,” Arnold said. “The officer who had located Linch was significantly smaller than Linch. Linch told the officer he had come from the police station. The officer had Linch sit down while the officer continued the investigation. Linch suddenly raised both hands, made a grunting noise, ran towards the officer, and engaged the officer in a physical fight.”

According to court documents, Linch grabbed the officer and attempted to wrestle the officer to the ground. The officer was able to do a hip toss maneuver and physically threw Linch to the ground. Linch continued to attempt to physically push the officer off of him.

“The officer eventually was able to gain control of Linch and held him in a controlled position until other officers arrived,” Arnold said. “The officer had some minor injuries and experienced pain after the altercation. Linch was taken into custody and this case is still under investigation with the Missoula Police Department.”

The officer had pain in his left knee and left ankle. He also had an abrasion on his left knee with a small amount of bleeding.

Linch is currently being charged with felony assault on a peace officer, resisting arrest, obstructing a peace officer, and disorderly conduct.
