Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On June 2, 2026, at around 10:21 PM, the Missoula Pre-release Center reported that one of its residents had left. Chelsea Spragg with Missoula Correctional Services has the details. 

“Missoula Pre-release Center resident, Jake Red Tomahawk, left the Missoula Pre-Release Center,” Spragg said. “He was last seen at approximately 8:32 PM on 06/02/2026, by staff on camera on foot.  He was last seen wearing black sweats and an orange shirt.  Jake Red Tomahawk is 25, Native American, Male with a stocky build.  He weighs approximately 225 pounds and is 6’5”.  He has short hair and brown eyes. He has a word tattoo on his left temple.”

Spragg said Jake Red Tomahawk has felony convictions out of Missoula County and is serving 5 years, with 2 suspended, with the Department of Corrections for Criminal Possession of Dangerous Drugs.   

“Anyone who has information about this individual, please contact your local law enforcement,” Spragg said. “Because of the walk-away from the Pre-release Center, a warrant for Felony Escape has been issued for Jake Red Tomahawk’s arrest.”
