A federal investigation into a MySpace page purported to be posted by a girl looking for sex with older men led to a child pornography conviction for a Livingston man. The U.S. attorney's office says 62-year-old James Henry Peavy was sentenced five years and three months in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to possession of child pornography. Law enforcement officers received a tip in May 2009 with concerns about a young girl's MySpace page. Prosecutors say Peavy acknowledged posting the fake page on the social networking site. Officers saved an image of the hard drive on Peavy's computer and returned the machine. A search of the hard drive turned up numerous items of child pornography. In March 2010, agents seized Peavy's computer and found he had continued accessing child pornography.
