The Lake County Sheriff's Office has issued its final press release regarding a homicide that occurred in Charlo last week.

Spokeswoman Karen Sargeant said the results of an autopsy on the victim have officially been released.

"We've received the information back from the State Crime lab in Missoula," Sargeant said. "The Lake County Coroner has determined that RaeLynn Charlo, the victim of the fatal shooting in Charlo early on last Tuesday morning died from a single gunshot wound to the head. 31 year-old Adrian McEelderry has been charged with deliberate homicide. He had his arraignment hearing late last week and is currently being detained in the Lake County Detention Center without bond."

Sargeant said information as to McElderry's next court appearance had not yet been released.

Initial reports stated that McElderry called 9-1-1 early last Tuesday morning to state that his wife, RaeLynn Charlo, has shot herself. Responding deputies determined that evidence at the scene did not match McElderry's story about a suicide, and he was taken into custody.
