With the promise of much warmer weather by the weekend, western Montanans will be out and about just doin' their thing.

And if your thing is shopping for some amazing bargains and creative local crafts, then here are a couple of suggestions for you to venture forth and see what can be found on a beautiful Saturday. Choose from a popular annual craft fair or support a very worthwhile Missoula organization. Or both! They take place this Saturday, June 22, and the locations are not very far from each other.

CRAFTY PANTS

The Crafty Pants Craft Fair brings together many talented local vendors. Lots of fun and exciting items, including sewing, crochet, knitting, papercraft, and more.

The Crafty Pants Fair is held at Missoula's American Legion Hall, 825 Ronan Street. Hours are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. this Saturday.

MISSOULA SENIOR CENTER PARKING LOT SALE

In recent years, the Missoula Senior Center has experienced a significant increase in the need for daily meals for seniors, making the Underground Thrift Store efforts more important than ever. A dedicated group of Missoula Senior Center staff and volunteers have met weekly to sort, clean, inspect, repair and tag thousands of donated items for this one of a kind event.

Indoor and outdoor booths of antiques, vintage collectables, housewares, clothing, outdoor gear - you name it. AND Tables of $1.00 items will be featured. The one-day sale of all donations to the Thrift Store raises funds that benefit programs and services for thousands of older adults served through the Missoula Senior Center, the largest senior center in Montana. Barbecue delights will also be available for purchase.
