Upcoming Stamp Price Increases: What You Need to Know

The U.S. Postal Service is raising the price of Forever Stamps beginning Sunday, July 12th. The increase is four cents, pushing the cost of mailing a one-ounce first-class letter from 78 cents to 82 cents.

Detailed Price Changes for Mailing Options

Other mailing services are going up.

  • Metered one-ounce letters will increase from 74 cents to 78 cents.
  • Domestic postcards will rise from 61 cents to 65 cents.
  • International letters and postcards will both increase from $1.70 to $1.75.

One price that doesn’t look to be changing is the additional-ounce rate for single-piece letters, which should remain at 29 cents.
