Pearl Jam has a very close relationship with Montana. After all one of the founding members was born and raised in Montana. Jeff Ament hasn't made it a secret that he is from Big Sandy, Montana and that he attended the University of Montana, before leaving to go to Seattle to start his music career.

Jeff Ament Has Given A Lot Back to Montana

Not only has Jeff not made it a secret, he has worn the fact that he is from Montana like a badge of honor. He continues to spend time in Montana when he is not on the road touring. He also continues to give back to Montana and support the youth in our state by helping to build skateboard parks in Montana with his organization the "Montana Pool Service". To date they have built over 30 skate parks across Montana and South Dakota with more on the way.
