Montana's Biggest Celtic Festival Returns This August

If you love everything Celtic, the biggest Celtic weekend of the year is coming to Montana.

A Weekend of Festivities at the Daly Mansion

The Bitterroot Celtic Games & Gathering returns to the beautiful Daly Mansion in Hamilton on August 15th and 16th, and it's one of the most scenic Highland Games you'll find in Big Sky Country.

The festivities run Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Parking at the Daly Mansion is limited, but don't worry. Free shuttle service will be running from Hamilton High School, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on both days. There is camping available close to the event.

Family Fun: Activities and Entertainment for Everyone

There's something for the whole family. You'll find continuous live music on two stages, Highland dancing, Irish dancing, pipe bands, piping and drumming competitions, kids' activities, and plenty of food and merchandise vendors. There will be Highland athletic events as well.

If you've ever wanted an authentic taste of Scotland or Ireland, this is the place. You can browse Celtic cookbooks, clothing, gifts, and hard-to-find imports. Pick up Scottish shortbread, haggis, and black pepper-flavored chips, and if you're lucky, even an Irn-Bru, Scotland's famous orange soft drink.

Heritage and Tastings: Connect with Your Roots

Adults can enjoy Scotch and Irish whisky tastings along with mead tastings, and if you're interested in your family's roots, be sure to stop by the clan tents. It's a great opportunity to learn about your Scottish or Irish heritage and connect with your family history.

The weekend also includes a Kirkin' o' the Tartan service on Sunday morning and a traditional afternoon tea.

One reminder from organizers: please leave your dogs at home. Pets are not allowed on the grounds unless they are service animals.
