There were rumors going around for a few years about the possibility of a Happy Gilmore 2 happening. It is no secret now that it is happening. They are currently in the process of shooting the movie. A majority of the cast for the film has been announced according to IMDB.com. Adam Sandler will be back as "Happy," Julie Bowen will reprise her role as "Virginia" and Christopher McDonald will be back as "Shooter McGavin".

The movie will be on Netflix and they haven't announced a release date for the movie yet. There will be some new faces added to the franchise like Benito Martínez Ocasio (AKA Bad Bunny), Travis Kelce, Nick Swardson and Montana's own Margaret Qualley, who was born in Kalispell.

Margaret is the daughter of, one time Montana resident, Andy McDowell and Paul Qualley. She made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and confirmed that she will be a part of Happy Gilmore 2. Her husband, Jack Antonoff, may have exaggerated her golfing ability while text Adam Sandler to get her a small part in the movie.

There has been some teasers and speculation about what to expect with the movie. I personally hate "spoilers", so I have tried to avoid reading about what to expect from upcoming movies. But having an actress who was born in Montana appear in this movie is pretty cool.

After the first Happy Gilmore came out you could tell pretty quickly at the local driving range, who saw the movie and who didn't when they tried to drive the ball like "Happy". I am sure when Happy Gilmore 2 comes out, the same thing will happen at your local golf course. Remember, as the golf car says, always respect the course and the game.
