The Montana concert season is shaping up to be an epic one this year, with announcements coming regularly. Now we can add a comedian to the mix.

Comedian Steve Hofstetter has announced a Missoula show at the University Theater on Monday, September 28. According to his website, this is the only Montana appearance booked so far.

This isn’t the first time Hofstetter has performed in Montana; he has performed in Helena, Billings, Bozeman, and Missoula. He last appeared in Billings and Missoula in 2024.

According to his bio, Hofstetter has over 3 million followers on social media and is a Nobel Peace Prize-nominated comedian for his charity work in the comedy community. He is also an author with a new book titled “Grape Expectations.”

Hofstetter is known for his comedy but is even more well known for his crowd work, and dealing with hecklers. His YouTube videos of him interacting with hecklers have racked up millions of views. Some people go to his shows with the specific intent of being heckled.

It takes a special kind of comedian to not only perform a show, but to also make a career out of dealing with hecklers. It’s not an easy thing to do.

Tickets for the show are on sale now through his website, where you can also view his itinerary and sample his work, so you know what to expect at the Missoula show this September.
