Missoula’s food truck scene has been building momentum for years, and now there’s a new twist that could give the city a taste of something more permanent. 

Weekly Food Truck Pod Launches This Summer

The Missoula Senior Center is launching a weekly food truck pod on Friday nights, bringing several trucks together in one spot along the Hip Strip. It all kicks off this Friday as part of First Friday, and organizers are hoping to keep it rolling every Friday throughout the summer. 

The Benefits of a Food Truck Court Experience

For anyone who’s ever wished Missoula had a dedicated food truck court, this is about as close as it gets. Instead of choosing just one spot for dinner, you’ll be able to mix and match cuisines, something that’s become hugely popular in other Montana cities like Bozeman, where food truck courts have taken off.

Missoula already sees big crowds for events like Out to Lunch and Downtown Tonight, but this new Friday setup offers a more consistent, neighborhood-style gathering place. It’s a chance to test whether a standing food truck pod could work long-term in the Garden City.

Adding to the atmosphere, the Missoula City Band will provide live music on opening night, giving it more of that full community event feel.
