The new store is currently preparing to open in the Paxson Plaza, next to Double K Ranch and Deli, and will offer a variety of equipment and accessories for both water and winter sports enthusiasts. In addition to wake surfing and hydrofoil gear, customers can expect to find Radar water skis, snowboards, safety vests, apparel, and other related gear.
Exclusive Kite Surf and Wake Equipment in Montana
Store owner Scott Elliott told us, "Heelside Boards is the only retailer in Montana to exclusively sell kite surf and wake equipment from Cabrinha Kites and Ronix Wake." A soft opening is currently projected for June 23, with a grand opening celebration scheduled for June 26.
Interest in wake surfing and hydro foiling has grown significantly across Montana in recent years as more people discover the state's lakes and reservoirs as destinations for water recreation. The arrival of a dedicated shop focused on these sports gives enthusiasts a local resource for equipment, advice, and training opportunities.
The business website is still under construction, but Elliott says they're hoping to have it live by June 15.
Get Ready for Summer Adventures with Heelside Boards
For anyone looking to try something new this summer or upgrade their gear before heading to the lake, Heelside Boards could soon become a must-visit destination in Missoula.

With a soft opening just around the corner, Montana's outdoor recreation scene is about to get a little bigger as one of the state's fastest-growing water sports gains a dedicated home in Missoula.
