International Star Raises 37 Flag at Griz Game
What a stunning game it was at Washington-Grizzly Stadium Saturday night. The action on the field was intense, the crowd was riotous and best of all the Griz won a 3rd consecutive to start the year.
First off, I have to praise the record crowd at Wa-Griz. Y'all were phenomenal. I have been to National Championship games, NFL Playoff games and some of the largest football stadiums in the U.S., but you guys brought the hype from kickoff to the final whistle.
You know who else brought the hype? The man who shocked the world by becoming the UFC Bantamweight Champion of the world recently. The Helana, Montana native and Griz fan for life.
SUGA SEAN O'MALLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Suga Sean attended the Griz' 17-10 win over Ferris State to raise the 37 flag before kickoff. His infectious charisma energized Washington-Grizzly all night. The champ was seen on the field all night signing autographs, taking pictures with fans and even running a 37 flag up and down the sideline.
He even dapped up just about every single Griz player and wound up celebrating with the team in the locker room following the win.
The 28-year-old Montanan won the UFC Bantamweight Champion of the World at UFC 292 in Boston back on August 19. O'Malley shocked the world when he defeated Aljamain Sterling in round 2 of the main event. It was a significant upset because O'Malley was an underdog at +200 odds on the bettor line.
(If you're not familiar with betting odds, +200 means he was not expected to win.)
Suga Sean, you are welcome back anytime. His next fight in the octagon hasn't been announced yet, but Montana will be behind you when you defend your title, Champ.
