Exciting Archery Competition Returns to Lolo Hot Springs

Growing up in a VERY "outdoorsy" family, I have fond memories of my dad dragging me along to spring 3D archery shoots. Fast forward to today, I am doing the same with my son. 3D archery shoots are not only challenging but fun. I like to describe them as 18 holes of golf, with your bow. But instead of only 18 targets, you have 30 different real-life hunting scenarios.

Gather your sharp sticks and make your plans to join Five Valley Archery Club this Sunday (5/19), for their annual May 3D Shoot at Lolo Hot Springs.

Registration begins at 7am, with score card deadline at 3:30pm.

Price is $20 for adults, $15 for Young Adult (14-17), $15 for kids 9-13 and Cubs are FREE.

It is happening at the beautiful Lolo Hot Springs

•  30 Targets, Scoring 11-10-8-5,
• 2 Mulligans per Shooter - $2.00 each
• Trophies, Medals or Ribbons in all Classes!
• Three Shooting Stakes: Compound: Adult & Young Adult.
  Traditional: Adult & Young adult, Youth Compound & Traditional, Cubs Shoot from where they can hit the target.
• Adult Classes: Young Adult Classes, Youth Classes: Freestyle (compound/moveable sights), Male & Female Bowhunter (Compound/fixed Sights), Male & Female Traditional (Recurve/Longbow), Male & Female.

These 3D archery tournaments are not about winning and losing. They are a great way to train for real-life hunting scenarios and make yourself a better hunter. They are also just a great reason to go on a hike with friends and imagine you are hunting sasquatch or dinosaurs. (note: actual targets typically set up on each course.)
