Investigators Suggest Possible Arson in Flathead Arena Fire
Flathead County officials are probing whether a fire that damaged the Majestic Valley Arena was caused by arson.
The Daily Inter Lake reports the arena caught fire early Saturday.
The fire damaged office space in the 55,750-square-foot arena, on U.S. 93, about six miles north of Kalispell.
The fire caused cancellation of a Wrangler Team Roping Championships event that would have hosted 600 to 700 teams on Saturday.
Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry says the cause of the fire was suspicious. He says a county team is investigating the fire as a possible arson.
