We're at that point in the year where I don't want to work, and all I want to do is watch Christmas movies, open gifts, drink some cocoa with Bailey's and relax.

Oh, and spend time with my family I guess.

Apparently, we're all thinking about Christmas at the office, because my colleague Ashley wrote her own rendition of 12 Days of Christmas - Missoula style.

Anyway, here's my article of the day... If Santa Claus was from Montana, what would he name his reindeer?

Of course, he has to name one of his sled pullers after the great state he's from. Montana is a great pet name. Hey, it's even a great person's name.

Monte

If Santa was from Montana he would be a Griz fan... duh. He'd be a massive, die-hard Montana Grizzly fan and Griz fans love naming their pets 'Monte.'

Remington

Assuming an old guy with a big beard who lives in Montana is a 2nd Amendment enthusiast, he needs an homage to guns. Remington (after Remington Arms) would be a great name for your gun enthusiast's reindeer. Plus, he could call him Remmy for short, which is a great nickname. Speaking of guns and hunting...

Buck feels like a great name for a Santa Claus who likes his guns and hunting, right? Buck is a great dog name too, which is what I'm pretty much basing this list off of... whether or not it's a fun dog name. Here's another good dog name...

Gunner

If Buck is one of your reindeer you need a hunting partner to match that outdoor spirit. Gunner is another all-time great pet name. Buck and Gunner is a duo like Sonny and Cher or chips and salsa or some other notable combination.

Santa can give a nod to our robust and prevalent Native American history in the Treasure State. He could've gone with Crow, Blackfeet, Sioux, etc, but Cheyenne is a sold reindeer name.

J.K.

Montana Santa is a huge fan of J.K. Simmons! The legendary actor has repped our state well. Santa had to name a reindeer after our guy. I mean, who doesn't love Whiplash, Spider-Man, Juno and other J.K. pieces of art?

Outback

You can't throw a rock without hitting a Subaru Crosstrek, Forester or Outback. To me, Santa looks like an Outback kind of guy. Thinking about Mr. and Mrs. Clause driving up and down Reserve Street in their station wagon-like Outback puts a smile on my face.

California... HA! Just kidding... Sapphire

Santa loves himself the Sapphire Mountains. He loves digging up sapphires to gift to his elves. It's a beautiful reindeer name!

Now it's just up to Nick to fire up the reindeer mobile. On Montana, on Monte, on Remington, on Buck, on Gunner, on Cheyenne, on J.K., on Outback, on Sapphire!
