Holiday Hoops Highlights

'Tis the season for Christmas caroling, chesnut roasting, and gift giving. And, for some of Missoula's high school athletes, jump shooting, ball hawking, and slam dunking.

Before the local high schools close for Winter break, several varsity basketball teams will squeeze in one more non-conference contest tonight.

The Sentinel boys host Great Falls High, while the Lady Spartans travel to the Electric City to face the Lady Bison.

Hellgate will take on the Butte Bulldogs in boys' action at home, while the Hellgate girls are at Butte.

And two bitter rivals collide when Florence and Loyola Sacred Heart  battle it out in an early season District 6B showdown. The girls' game takes place at 4:00 pm in Missoula, while the boys lace up the sneakers and go at 4:30.
