A 19-year-old Hamilton man has pleaded guilty to his role in a spring vandalism spree that involved stealing paint, using it to damage buildings and vehicles and setting a garage on fire.

Micah Romel Brown pleaded guilty to burglary, arson and criminal mischief for the May 17 damage in Hamilton.

Prosecutors allege Brown and two juveniles broke into a church and stole paint, used it to spray paint obscenities on 36 structures or cars, poured buckets of paint from downtown rooftops and started a fire in a detached garage that threatened a family of four sleeping in the house nearby.

The plea agreement calls for Brown to be sentenced to the custody of the Department of Corrections for 20 years and to pay restitution.
