Hamilton Man Charged With Attempted Deliberate Homicide [AUDIO] [DOCUMENT]
A Hamilton man has been charged with attempted deliberate homicide in Ravalli County after allegedly attempting to run over another man with his pickup truck over the weekend.
Ravalli County Undersheriff Steve Holton said that Thomas Day, 83, was arrested early Saturday evening near Corvallis.
"At about 5 p.m. on Saturday, the sheriff's office received a call from a 64 year-old man who said he was the victim of an assault by another man in a vehicle," Holton said. "The sheriff's office investigated and subsequently Thomas Day was arrested. The victim had been staying with Day, and after an argument Day struck the man with the front of his truck."
Holton said the victim initially refused treatment, but later was taken to Marcus Daly Hospital via ambulance for head injuries.
Day appeared in Ravalli County Justice Court, where bail was set at $25,000.
