The superintendent of Forsyth Public Schools faces a drunken driving charge after allegedly crashing his pickup truck into a barricade on the Beartooth Highway over the weekend.

The Billings Gazette reports David Shreeve was stopped by the Montana Highway Patrol just before 7 p.m. on Feb. 24. Court records say Shreeve's blood-alcohol level was 0.225, nearly three times the legal limit.

Shreeve has been ordered to appear in Carbon County Justice Court in Red Lodge on March 8.

Shreeve was out of the office on Thursday.

Forsyth School District clerk and business manager, Bob Martelle, declined to comment.
