Former Governor Sullivan Press Secretary Dies
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming journalist Dennis E. Curran, who served as press secretary to former Gov. Mike Sullivan, has died in Cheyenne.
He was 67.
Schrader Funeral Home says Curran died Sunday.
Curran retired last year as full-time editor of the Wyoming Business Report, a statewide publication that began in 2000 and grew under his leadership.
Curran also worked for The Associated Press in its Cheyenne and Helena, Mont., bureaus and for Montana newspapers.
He was Sullivan's press secretary from 1987 to 1994.
A native of Madison, Wis., and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Curran is survived by his wife, Wendy, two daughters, a son and two sisters.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday at First Presbyterian Church in Cheyenne.
