‘For God and Country’ Concert and Event in Hamilton July 14-17

Conservative recording artist Linda Lanier will be headlining the ‘For God and Country’ event and concert July 14-17 at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton.

Lanier and her team reached out to KGVO News to talk about the four-day event and what it will entail.

“On July 14, through 17, we're going to have what's called a revival, and it's a tent meeting on the Hamilton fairgrounds,” said Lanier. On the 14^th they will have a chuck wagon dinner at 5:00 p.m. which is free, there will also be dinners on the 15^th and 16^th. After that, I will be putting on an event called ‘For God and Country’ that will be on the 15th at 6:00 p.m.”

Lanier said ‘this country is in trouble’.

“I'm going to do a ‘For God and Country’ show because we're in trouble,” she said. “We need God in America again. This is also the title of one of my songs, and so I want to present this. I'm going to have an Honor Guard coming from Helena, and it will be a beautiful night. I'm hoping that the people will come out for all the nights but especially for the 15^th for this ‘For God and Country’ Program.”

Lanier asked to quote the late President Ronald Reagan.

“I want to quote something from President Reagan,” she said. “Is that okay? ‘If we ever forget we are one nation under God, then we would be a nation gone under’. We're having some real issues here right now and it's kind of scary, and I just want to bring hope to the people and put the fight back in them that this is our country and we want to keep it.”

Regarding the many problems facing America and the entire world at this moment in time, Lanier said America is not in a good place.

“Life is hard right now Peter, and I want to bring hope to people, but I also want to help put the fight back in them,” she said. “We have to stand up in a godly way and stand up because America's dying, Peter, she's got cancer, and it's almost like we can't even recognize her now and so you know, she doesn't have much more to go before we've lost her for good.”

Lanier described part of the program she will present at the ‘For God and Country’ event.

“A general gave my husband and me this beautiful Bible and it has different quotes from our forefathers and things like that,” she said. “I play a story of how the national anthem was written. It's so powerful. It takes about 10 minutes, but it's so powerful. But quoting George Washington, he said, the thing that sets the American Christian apart is that ‘he would rather die on his feet than live on his knees’. And that's the truth, Peter.”

Lanier especially wanted to invite people from Missoula to come to the ‘For God and Country’ concert on July 15 at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds.

There will be no admission charge during the entire event.
