First Grizzly Home Game to Honor Hall of Fame Inductees [AUDIO]
The 0-1 Montana Grizzlies will open their home season on Saturday against Division II Central Washington University.
Associate Athletic Director for Marketing and Community Relations Brynn Molloy said two of Montana's all-time best running backs will be honored at Saturday's game.
"The Hall of Fame game is this weekend," Molloy said. "We've got Dick Imer and Yohance Humphrey who will both be introduced during the pregame festivities. They'll be honored on Friday night at the annual banquet as they are inducted into the Grizzly Sports Hall of Fame."
Molloy said there will be a few new wrinkles when fans come to the stadium on Saturday.
"First, kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m.and our game times are somewhat all over the place this year, primarily because of TV," she said. "We also have some construction going on here on the campus, so the normal 6th Street entrance to the stadium is different than it ordinarily would be. You can still get around, but we encourage people to come early or stop by the campus on Friday to check out all the changes."
Molloy said some tickets are still available, and fans can contact the Grizzly ticket office for details. She said the first home game of the season is always extra fun.
"You don't want to miss it," she said. "You might want to wear maroon, and let's show Central Washington our school pride. Let's be loud and proud."
Montana comes into the game ranked 4th in the FCS by the Sports Network and 5th by coaches.
