Yet another sure sign of spring: the very busy, road-weary University of Montana softball team gets to play at home.

Hopefully Mother Nature is a Griz fan, as the team gets ready to host the Griz Classic this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 17-19. The luck of the Griz could be with you this St. Patrick's Day weekend, with lots of UM softball gear to be given away to fans all three days.

The team definitely went border to border to schedule opponents, as Maine and Seattle will be on hand for this tourney. Those two teams will face each other at 11:00 a.m. both Friday and Saturday. Montana plays each of those teams at 1:15 and 3:30 both Friday and Saturday and then again at 10:30 and 12:45 Sunday.

Tickets will be available at the gate. The Griz will also be hosting Boise State March 21, North Dakota March 25 and 26 and Southern Utah March 31 and April 1. Montana has played a lot of tough, big-name schools this year at various tourneys around the country. They've come away with some pretty impressive wins and are ready to show the home fans what they got. Check out gogriz.com if you need to know more!
