Trooper Visits Hospital

Another trooper responded to the hospital to make contact with Indreland. Indreland 's eyes were bloodshot, his facial expressions were dazed, his speech was slurred, and his breath smelled of alcohol when asked for his driver's license. Indreland pulled up his hospital gown and presented his crotch to the trooper. Indreland admitted to drinking half an alcoholic beverage.

While at the hospital, Indreland conversed with his son in the presence of the trooper. While discussing alcohol consumption, the son asked Indreland if he thought he would be over or under. Indreland responded “over”, presumably referring to the legal limit of .08.
