Fatal Shots Fired at Missoula Home – Police Investigating
One individual is dead after being shot inside a residence on Blaine Street on Sunday morning.
Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh was able to provide the following details of the fatal shooting.
“On Sunday, November 18, 2018 at approximately 8:30 am, Missoula Police Officers responded to the report of a disturbance with a firearm at a residence in the 600 block of Blaine St.,” said Welsh. “While in route, responding officers were advised that a shot had been fired inside the residence.
Upon officer’s arrival, they encountered a person with a gun and shots were fired. No officers were injured; however, a suspect is deceased at the scene.
Due to Missoula Police Officers being involved in the shooting, the investigation has been turned over to the Montana Department of Justice-Division of Criminal Investigation.”
No other details were released, including the gender, name or age of the suspect who was shot, or whether anyone else at the scene was injured. The Department of Criminal Investigation will provide more details when the investigation has been completed.
