Famed Actor J. K. Simmons Returns Home As Honored UM Alum

Friday afternoon at the Doubletree Hotel, I had the pleasure and privilege of interviewing one of the busiest actors in TV and movies, J. K. Simmons. 'Kim' as he is called by his family will receive a distinguished alumni award at the Homecoming game on Saturday. Simmons, the son of Don and Pat Simmons, is busy in many areas of entertainment...with TV shows like Law and Order and most recently The Closer, in movies like the Spiderman series and Juno. Now, he is also 'Professor Burke' of the Farmers Insurance TV ad campaign. My interview with Mr. Simmons is attached.

Simmons includes the Missoula Children's Theater and the Bigfork Playhouse as two of his starting points in the entertainment business...and he is a genuinely nice man, as well.
