We get our first taste of snow this week! Some people are saying "hell yes, we love snow," and others are saying "This is awful. It was 70 degrees 4 days ago."

Regardless, there's always something to do in Missoula. Especially on Halloween weekend. You are all welcome to the costume party I'm attending on Friday night, so I hope to see you there! Outside of my party, here are NUMBER things to do in Missoula this weekend.

Friday, October 27

Costume Party at Sunrise Saloon: Take your pick of Halloween festivities this weekend, but the first comes at Sunrise Saloon. If you're able to stay awake, check out the Copper Mountain Band at 9 p.m. at the Sunrise Saloon. They made a sweet poster for it, too.

Gods & Monsters Costume Party at Monk's: Costume party #2! Monk's also made a sweet poster for it.

Halloween Tango Party: The West Side Theater will teach you how to tango on Friday night. The best part? You can show up in your Halloween costume (I'm going as Kendall Roy from the HBO show Succession, FYI). Tickets are $12 or $10 for students. It starts at 7 p.m.

Desperate Electric performs at Top Hat: A free concert at Top Hat that's not Halloween-themed if you're not into Halloween.

Other: The Rocky Horror Show Live! (2 shows Friday, 2 shows Saturday)A Nightmare on Main Street at the ZACC

Saturday, October 28

Griz Football VS Northern Colorado (1 p.m.): The last time the Griz were home was September 30th. It's been almost an entire month since the Griz played at Washington-Grizzly Stadium. Montana looks to win its 4th in a row and keep pace with the rest of the Big Sky Conference. Plus, it's Hall of Fame weekend, so come out to celebrate Griz legend & NFL Pro Bowler Marc Mariani being inducted into the University of Montana Hall of Fame.

Live Music... so much live music: There is a lot of live music on Saturday night. Here's a list of all the places I found:

  • Wolf and the Moons at Draught Works
  • John Floridis at Imagine Nation
  • Kyle Hunter & The Mountain Standard at Top Hat
  • The Benevolents at The Union Club
  • The Old So & Sos at Cranky Sam's
  • The Gravy Ladles at The Old Post

Sunday, October 29

Choral SpooktacularThe University of Montana School of Music hosts their spooky Halloween show. "This frighteningly beautiful choral sound will delight your spirits, giving way to trick-or-treating onstage with live Music! Wear your costume." That's Sunday at 3 p.m. at Dennison Theater for free admission.
