East Helena Man Struck By Pickup Truck North of Helena

HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A 45-year-old East Helena man was struck and killed while walking along Lincoln Road north of Helena.

Lewis and Clark County Coroner Mickey Nelson tells the Independent Record (http://bit.ly/1Wty8Pj ) that Mick Halverson was struck by a pickup truck shortly after midnight Saturday. He died at the scene.

Nelson says Halverson was walking alone. The collision is still being investigated.

The 19-year-old man driving the pickup was not injured.
