Potential Drug Dealer Caught Shoplifting in Missoula
Missoula, MT (KGVO-AM News) - On February 13, 2026, Missoula Police Department officers were dispatched to Winco for a report of a theft. An employee stated that a female was detained for shoplifting. While the officers were en route, the employee reported that the female suspect, Jamie Clark, was attempting to kick a trash can towards him and was having outbursts.
The employee told the officers that he and his coworker observed Clark walking through an aisle and taking possession of a product. He said he observed Clark conceal the selected item by placing it inside the sleeve of her sweatshirt.
The employee and his coworker then escorted the female to the loss prevention office. While in the office, Clark attempted to leave. The employee and his coworker restrained Clark, and during their attempt to place her in handcuffs, she physically resisted, causing injury to the employee’s right ring finger. The officer saw that the employee’s finger had a bent nail and was visibly bleeding. The employee told the officer that they had removed the stolen item from Clark, a “compound wart remover strip,” valued at $9.87.

The officer observed a small plastic baggie of methamphetamine, which the employee said had been removed from the suspect. It had a gross package weight of 1.30 grams. Clark was then placed under arrest. The officer was directed to take possession of Clark’s property, a black backpack, which was transported to the jail.
During the booking process, MCDF staff located a Ziploc baggie of methamphetamine, which had a gross package weight of 14.02 grams. MCDF staff also located a small Ziplock baggie, which contained an opaque/brown powdery substance that tested inconclusive. Staff also located $602.00 in US currency, five MicroSD cards, eight used Ziploc baggies which appeared to have trace amounts of white residue, one small Ziploc baggie containing a thin square skin tone piece of foam, a digital mini scale with white powdery residue, and two smartphones.
The officer knows from his training and experience that these items in combination are indicative of drug sales. Of note, the evidence tied to Clark’s drug dealing was contained within her backpack, and despite having over $600 in cash on her person, Clark chose to shoplift the wart treatment. According to court documents, it is reasonable to believe that the cash contained within Clark’s backpack was proceeds of her illicit drug dealing, as opposed to monies she would have available for her personal life.
