Anyone interested in filing for one of the open seats on the Missoula County Public School Board must do so by the end of business on Thursday, March 26.

Communications Director Hatton Littman said all the necessary information is on the Missoula County Elections website.

"We will have four trustee seats that are up for election," Littman said. "We are aware that two of the incumbents have already filed for reelection. We may have two more incumbents file by Thursday, but, as with any election, anyone who is interested in serving the district as a trustee is welcome to file."

Littman was careful to note that the office of trustee is an unpaid position.

"Unlike the city council or any other city position, this is a completely volunteer position," she said. "Trustees tend to spend anywhere from 12 to 20 hours per month in meetings."

The school election will be held on May 5.
