Saturday, the First Interstate Center of the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton will be filled with fun with the 9th annual Cowboy Ball. The country group Shodown is bringing the music this year. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the same low $10 admission charge again. Kids 5-14 are only $5.

You don't need to wear cowboy boots, a Stetson or a bolo tie; just come and have some Montana fun. When you get inside, you can purchase food from UpnSmokin BBQ House and beverages catered by Rainbow Bar. Rod Freeman of the Ravalli County Fair Board said the usual silent auction and live auction are planned, along with Calf Pie Bingo and raffles. New this year are Mystery Envelopes and a booth to support the Branding Board at the fairgrounds. The funds from each year's Cowboy Ball are used by the Rockin' RC rodeo Committee to improve the rodeo grounds and grandstands. Freeman encouraged families to attend and enjoy the evening together.
