As a result of Missoula Police Chief Mark Muir’s testimony in Helena to repeal the medical marijuana initiative, Ward One City Councilor Jason Wiener introduced a resolution at Monday night’s City Council meeting that states the city officially supports the initiative. Wiener takes issue with Muir likening Montana’s medical marijuana law to an ecological disaster..

The resolution passed the Council on a vote of 9 to 3.
